Nigeria, Cameroon Share Points In Yaounde

The Super Eagles of Nigeria, on Monday, played a 1-1 draw with the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon at the Stade Omnispirts Ahmadu Ahidjo in Yaounde.

The match was the second leg encounter between both teams following Nigerias 4-0 trashing of Cameroon last Friday in Uyo.

Although, the second leg began with the Lions playing hard to overcome the deficit, Nigeria got the opening goal in the 30th minute​.

Belgium-based Moses Simon put the ball behind goalkeeper Fabrice Ondoa following a shot by Odion Ighalo’s which spilled back into play.

The Cameroonians equalised from the spot following a challenge by goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa on Djoum Arnaud.

Cameroon’s Aboubakar slotted the ball calmly into the net as Ezenwa went the wrong way.
